I hope you’re enjoying the Christmas and New Year Holiday. There’s no better time than a grey winter day to take a look at the sailing programme we’ve put together for the 2012 season and volunteer for a couple of duties.
In fact I see a few early birds have already found their way on to the club’s Dutyman site and selected duties they want to do. We have 226 sailing duties to fill during the season, this includes club racing events and Junior Week (20th-24th August). Using Dutyman is the best way for you to choose a duty that suits your availability and experience. The easiest way of accessing Dutyman is by following the link on the club web site. The site will generate you a unique password to enable you to use the system. If anyone has a problem with this just let me know (iwestern@me.com).
One final plea. We find it hardest to fill Race Officer duties. If you have some racing experience please consider volunteering for one of these duties. We are going to run a pre-season training session on this role so don’t be shy about coming forward!
